A quick tour of the dkp system (submitted by Grimbur at 01:36pm CET)

Hi and welcome to the Golden Hunters dkp system.

First of all this system is only to show you, a player, where you stand in the dkp system. You will not have to register to use this system, only officers have to do that.

How does the dkp system work?
Everytime you are in a raid where an epic item drops you gain 1 dkp point. There are certain exceptions to this rule. Things like the `epic` Primal Hakkari drops in Zul'Gurub are hardly epic and do not count. Legendary drops also do not count.

This way you build up points. When an item drops that you want you can whisper the raid leader and he will check your point total. He will then give it to the player with the most points, or he wil random it between players if more then one person has the most points.

Once you gain an item your points go back to zero. This is basically how the system works.

News
Any important news items and this tutorial post can be found in the News section.

Standings
In here you can see an overview of all members and their points. There is a lot of information , but really only the points are interesting.

Raids
Here you can see raids that have taken place. By clicking on one you see who was in it, what items dropped, who got them, etc. Everything you want to know about a raid really.

Events
We do not use this option so just ignore it.

Item values
Here you can take a look at all the items that dropped. They are displayed with a nice script that will show a tooltip like in-game. Do not worry about the values all items have changing values since you get set back to zero it doesn't matter at all. All items show zero points for this purpose.

Item history
This page shows who got what item at what date.

Summary
This is basically an overview page. It also allows you to select on class all members that are that class.

Stats
This is another overview page.
